Canada Day

Happy Canada Day to you and yours. The Blue Jays celebrated this great day with probably the ugliest uniforms I have ever seen. Only Canada would celebrate their Independence with dressing their only major sports team of relevance (sorry Toronto Raptors and all of hockey) in these red uniforms that rather than the players names across the back it says "CANADA." It's like every player is from Bad News Bears and rather than "Chico's Bail Bonds" the Canadian Government has paid for advertising. Just a very strange sight that I have never encountered before. If you are unaware with what Canada Day is, check the link below.

My next question is this:

What is the deal with Canada?

Have you ever seen a Canadian upset about anything other than a hockey game?

These are definitely things that need to be pondered.

Passion Pit

As anyone who listens to my IPOD they will find the majority of my music tends to be found in every brat pack movie from the 80's or in any dance club in the 90's.  I love what I love.  I used to think that I should not like the music I so easily snapped my fingers to on the radio.  I was usually swayed by a friend or love interest that felt they needed to show me the light towards undiscovered music. With my IPOD on shuffle I would secretly cringe with embarrassment when hearing my favorite MC hammer song or hearing Milli Vanilli so swiftly pull the wool over our eyes.

I found great music from taking the independent journey down these paths but always found myself rushing back to the music that I love.  I am 27 now and can proudly embrace the music that I love.  I do not have to listen to a underground independent folk band to realize that I love or appreciate music. I appreciate Passion Pit.

This is the latest album that is taking up space in my single CD player on my drive in the early AM to the gym. I do not know if they are well known or "undiscovered".  I do know they make me want to listen. Passion pit's bubbly and majestic tones force me to have a motivating morning with the constant urge to attempt a cabbage patch in my Corolla.  Every song sounds brand new yet so familiar after each repeat.  This is my current CD obsession.  I suggest this CD for anyone that loves that fresh and clean start in the morning without having to take a shower.

Embrace The Passion Pit!
